How CSN Got The Hubs to Help Me in the Kitchen!

SO recently I got the opportunity to review anything I wanted from CSN stores!

Now im sure you know about this great online one shop with over 200 stores to look at! 

All from home! Gotta love that! :)

I was asked to review them back in November! LOL But like I said, they had so much to choose from I just had a tough time deciding! So I asked the hubs and we agreed on getting something we really need, but never think to buy. We bought kitchen knives! Woo.. I know we are so exciting. LOL

But really, we have had the same dull knife set for about 6 years. It was a cheap set, just something we could afford at the time we got married. He always complained about how dull the steak knives were, and that we needed to buy new ones. But we never did, and when ever we looked at buying some.. they always seemed too expensive for us at the time.

So yes, we bought a cultery set!

This one to be exact. 

And I LOVE it!! 

First, I have got to say, that they must have the fastest shipping ever! I was so not expecting it to come as fast as it did. So it was a very pleasant surprise! :)

When we first got them, the hubs had to put them through 2 "tests" before he gave them a good word. LOL

First he grabbed one of the knives and scrapped it lightly against his arm. He said if it will cut the hair then its a good sharp knife. {IDK... MEN!}

It passed!

Then the next one I think he just did for the fun of it. 

(But he wouldnt let me take a picture! *pout*)

He took the large chop and serve knife, then grabbed an apple threw it up in the air, then swung his arm! It happened so fast and I was laughing so hard at him... but when we looked he had cut that apple clean in half! 

HAHA Oh boy... :)

He gives the set 2 thumbs up. 

And I am actually so thankful for csn for offering me this review, and thankful I bought these, because now the hubs actually WANTS to HELP ME in the Kitchen!! ,<-- He NEVER does that!

 

I made Tacos the other night. When I walked out of the kitchen to deal with a fussy toddler, I came back to find the hubs had diced up the tomato already, and was cutting the avacado to make the guacamole! 

I was shocked! 

'What is this?' I asked

'Oh these knives are just so nice, I thought I would help you with the veggies tonight.' was his reply...

 

NO JOKE!

 

Its true though, the knives are amazing! Cutting meat used to be my least favorite thing about cooking dinner. It was such a hassle, and a tough job with our old knives. I wasnt looking forward to making fajitas one night.. having to slice up the chicken. UGH! But when I used the new knives it was like slicing through butter!

I kept saying "smmoooooth like Butah" to myself over and over as I was cutting and slicing! HAHA 

wow.. Im such a nerd. I cant believe I just admitted that. ;)

Here is another really awesome feature about the set... the block is labeled and numbered! The knives themselves have numbers on them as well, so you can remember where they go on the knife block, and also what knife to use for what youre cutting! I dont know about you.. but I thought that was really neat!

All in all this knife set really lives up to its six star name!

If I have any complaint, its that the knife block has that six star cutlery logo on the front of it.. it just doesnt look nice to me. But Im planning on maybe using mod podge to decopage some cute decorative paper over the front! So its no biggy!

I got one more thing from csn, a cute little hippo stroller. I got it as a gift for my sister in law! It was completely adorable, sturdy and easy to assemble! She seriously put it together with her 9 month old in her arms half the time! She used it right away, and my little niece was very comfy and content in it. :)
