Mr. & Mrs. Ribbon Bunny Hair Clip Tutorial

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a tutorial to share with you for these extremely adorable bunny hair clips! Of course just because I made them into hair clips - doesnt mean you have to! Feel free to get creative and add them to other things. Attach them to a pinback instead to make a brooch for yourself or little boutonniere for your little man! These will the perfect little accessory for Easter!

To create this hair clip design, here is what you will need:
- Thin Ribbon for bunny "fur": I used cream, you can use white, gray or even brown!
- Thin Ribbon for bunny ears & bows: Use any color you like! I choose pink & blue.
- Ribbon for nose: I used brown, other ideas are black, or pink.
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Googly eyes
- heat source like a candle flame or lighter
Keep in mind this tutorial is for 2 bunnies, however I made 4 when taking pictures! Sorry for any confusion!

Step 1. To make TWO bunnies: Cut 2 stripes of thin (bunny fur colored) ribbon 2 1/2 in. long, and 4 strips of ribbon (same color) 2 1/4 in. long.

Step 2. Glue each strip together making big and small rings. You should have double the amount of small rings, as big rings.

Step 3. Take a small ring and glue it just slightly inside the a bigger ring on one side.

Step 4. Repeat for the other side. This is what your ribbon rings should look like now. This will be the bunny head!

Repeat as needed for as many bunnies as you are making!

Now we will make the ears!
Step 5.  Cut four 3 1/2 in. strips of bunny fur colored ribbon, and then cut to the same size, another four in the colored ribbon you choose for the ears. (As you can see, I did 2 blu e& 2 pink!)

Step 6. Fold and glue the ribbon as shown in the photo!

Step 7. Repeat for all the strips of ribbon.

Step 8. Add a little glue to the bottom part of the bunny fur colored "ear", then slip the colorful ribbon on top to connect. Repeat for all the ears.

Step 9. Glue ears to the back of the bunny head.

Step 10. Glue on the eyes.

Step 11. Make the nose! To do this cut your (nose colored) ribbon into a triangle shape. Then use heat to "treat" the ribbon to prevent it from fraying. Then glue to your bunny face!

Lastly (and optionally) tie little bows from the colored ribbon. Glue one under the head for a bow tie to make your bunny a Mr and/or glue a bow to one ear to make your bunny a Mrs.!!

Once you are done with your bunnies, you can add them to a clip, or pinback or headband or whatever you want!!

I do recommend that if you are going to add your bunnies to a clip, that you line the clip first with the same colored ribbon you made your bunny "fur". This will just tie everything together, and make them look real nice! I just love the way they turned out!

What about you?? Id love to know what you think. And if you happen to make these, please do share with me how they turned out!! ♥ I love to see photos of your creations!

Much Love & Hugs,
