Childhood Dreams Ramblings And Other Questions Answered

I saw this over at Mommy Does and decided to  play along today... since I'm too lazy to put together a fan photo post today.

1. How close to your childhood dreams is your life now?

It depends on which "childhood dream" we wanna use. I had SEVERAL childhood dreams, one is RIGHT on the dot with where I am today some are close, some are WAY off... Here is my list:

~Become a famous Christian singer: Reality.. I am not famous, but I still sing on the worship team in my church, and at home with The Hubs and Kiddos.

~Become a Lawyer: Reality... Even though I am good at arguing or "debate" I guess we should call it Im pretty far off from this one!

~Become a History Teacher: Reality... I am a terrible teacher... I have a terrible memory! As much as I LOVE history.. and enjoy watching the History channel for fun (yeah Im a nerd like that) I could never remember all the stuff I'd need to learn to be a teacher of the subject..

~Be a stay at home Wife/Mom: Yes I actually desired to be a stay at home wife/mom.. not because I didnt want to work.. but because I could just NEVER make up my mind on what I wanted to be or what field I truly belonged in. And because I think I longed to be taken care of, to be DEPENDENT. Even though it is completely against my nature to be dependent on anyone but myself! I am very much the definition of "if I want something done right, I have to do it myself." (yeah Im still working on that!) REALITY: Yes I am just this.. a stay at home wife and mother. I love it! But little did I know (when I was younger) that this job requires more of taking care of others rather than being taken care of myself. I am more than JUST a mom or wife and my job is never ending. But I am truly blessed with the life I have and live.

~Be an Artist: Ive always had a love for anything artsy and crafty. Reality: this one is right on as well.. I paint, I design, I photograph, I create many lovely things EVERY day. And I do it for fun to share with you all, to enjoy for myself, and to sell in my etsy shop. Its a dream. :)

~Be a Writer: This isnt something I took seriously. I never had any goals to be an author or anything. Though I had thought it would be fun to write and illustrate children's books. I just love to write and used to journal a lot! Reality: I'd say that the fact that I have 3 different blogs speaks for the fact that this is right on as well. Oh and notice how I mentioned above being too lazy to put together a fan photo post.. yet I have no problem writing for days about my childhood dreams/aspirations! LOL

2. What is one must have item for the summer?

WATER... in any form... ice water to drink, water in a pool for me to swim in! Its the best summer escentual! But flip flops and tank tops are also high on the escentuals list!

3. Do you have your kids stay up on school stuff during summer vacation? (Or, if you don't have kiddos, did your parents make you keep up on school stuff during summer?)

Um no... Summer is a break for ME too.. do I really want to be rehashing math or history facts while the sun it out and we could be swimming? NO! We are gonna have FUN! School is for school stuff! What ever they forget they will remember when school starts again. LOL

4. Do you can or freeze fresh produce?

No... Im not cool like that. Ive got no skillz when it comes to stuff like that! But you should see my awesome nun-chuck skillz and bow hunting skillz.... (haha Napoleon Dynamite)

5. Do you get ready for the day first thing in the morning?

 It really depends... I wake up anywhere from 6:00 to 6:20 in the morning.. JUST so I can have some quiet alone time... I try to take a shower right away.. but mostly I just try to get some emails read and answered, blog posts written, Facebook updated, Photos edited, work on new printable designs, create new jewelry, write out ideas... and what ever else that I cant always get done when the kids and hubs are awake and need me! :)

If not when I wake up.. its during nap time that I have time to do my own thing and get ready for the day!
