Water of Life

Hello my lovelies, today I have something special and important to talk to you about.

WATER.

If you know me at all you know that I LOVE water. Its my favorite drink! 

I don't like soda, water is my drink of choice. A lot of people find that strange. But I think a lot of people take water for granted. I know people who seriously NEVER drink water.. they live off soda. It grosses me out a little, no offense if you too are one of those people. Its just strange to me, I don't see how their bodies survive like that! But hey those people do it to themselves, so I can hardly feel sorry for the effects it has on their body. However there IS something that my heart DOES hurt for; CHILDREN and FAMILIES without clean drinking water! Those who want it, NEED it and don't have it! Its rare, but if ever there is a day I have not been drinking enough water, I can tell. I feel sluggish and yucky. Yet, everyday I can walk to my sink or my fridge and get clean water, I can buy bottled water anytime I wish, to feel better, to quench my thirst. I don't even give much thought to it... Its normal.
But what if that wasn't the norm?

I recently heard about a charity through Compassion called Water of Life while listening to K-love it really got me thinking. I knew I wanted to donate. But I also felt the urge to do something bigger! As you can tell water is something important and precious to me. I do not want to take it for granted! Give a Child in Need One of The Greatest Gifts – SAFE WATER FOR LIFE!

Compassion's Water of Life, a safe water system goes to the heart of one of the greatest and most urgent needs in developing countries today – providing safe drinking water to children and their families.

Every day over 4,000 children are dying of water-related diseases such as cholera and typhoid that are easily preventable. Many more are suffering sickness, diarrhea and acute stomach pains – illnesses that stop children going to school and growing up into healthy adults.

When you give to Compassion's Water of Life, you are not only giving safe drinking water, you are protecting a child from life-threatening diseases and allowing that child to go to school, to dream and reach their full potential.

Your donation of $55 provides:

• Compassion's Water of Life system – safe water for life (over 1 million gallons) for a child and their family in developing countries. 
• Education on improving hygiene and sanitation
• Support for improving community water and sanitation sources where needed.

Now here is where I want to take action. I would love to give more than just ONE $55 donation. But I cant do it on my own. So, Ive made this special necklace. Its made to look like a cloud raining down water drops of love, as a reminder of the love you've shown in giving water! This necklace can be found in my shop {here} and 75% of the profit will go to Water of Life. Each necklace purchased will cover half of the cost of the standard $55 donation, I have 4 in stock right now, and if they all get sold that will make TWO EXTRA $55 donations for this wonderful charity! That means that together we can provide 3 families with clean drinking water for LIFE!!! :)
Otherwise I will just cover the other half of the donation amount, when one is sold.

How exciting would that be!? :) I know I am thrilled just thinking about it!
