Blog-erview With Nicole of Miss Mommy

Good Morning my lovelies!
Today I am interviewing the amazingly sweet Nicole of Miss Mommy!
I do hope you'll enjoy meeting and getting to know her better, as much as I did. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Everyone!.  It's great to be here today on Maria's blog.  I'm thrilled to meet all of you :)
Maria has put together some questions for me - here they are:
  Can you tell us a little about yourself and Your blog?
My name is Nicole, and I blog over at Miss Mommy. I blog about everything and anything.  I'm very open and honest with my readers. I have a weekly link party called Tuesday Ten.  It's a way for me to get to know my readers and for others to hop around and get to know each other better.  You can blog about Ten of anything and link it up.  This week I actually did a Vlog about my 10 make-up products I use.
  I have a husband and 2 little girls.  Eve is 5 and Lilah is turning 2 in 2 weeks.  I'm a Canadian from Toronto but now live in Melbourne Australia.  I love to craft, and try new things.  In addition to working 3 days a week, I have my own Etsy shop.  Life is full but I love it!
 How did you first get involved with blogging?
I was out one day and my friend was over at my house watching my girls for me.  After she left I got on my computer, and saw a blogger tab for this blog that she had been reading.  It was a babyloss blog that a friend of hers has.  I started reading that and got into other blogs as well.  I then got into more of the crafting blogs and mommy blogs and decided to start my own.  I started my blog as a way to communicate and keep in touch with all my family in Canada.
How do you come up with material/content for your blog each day, What inspires you?
 Life.  I live life and that inspires me.  I read other blogs - a ton of them in fact.  They inspire me.  I do get writers block once in a while, and when that happens, I plan a day trip with the kids or take them to the park, and blog about it.  I try and see the beauty in all things.
 What has been the most challenging moment in being a blogger?
Negative comments.  I kills me when I get a negative and nasty comment.  I know I shouldn't take them personally but I do.  The beauty about blogs is that you have the choice to read them if you want to.  If you don't like someone or their blog then don't read it.  No need to say mean and nasty things!.  As my Mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all".
Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
I think my favorite post is the one where I let out my secret
.  My blog is me and you get all of me even if it's not so pretty.  So I felt compelled to let my readers in on a secret i've had for a while.  It felt so good to let it out and everyone has been very supportive.  My least favorite post would be this one.  It was just at the start of this year and I only had about 5 followers, and they were all my family.  I knew then that I wanted my blog to be something more.  I strived to help others and inspire others.  It's a post of desperation I think.  I debated quitting blogging at that point.  I'm not proud of that.
 Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
Of course you Maria.  You are an inspiration to me.  You are crafty, and have these 3 beautiful children.
I'd say my inspiration for actually starting a blog and the first mommy blog I ever clicked on was Ashley from Little Miss Momma.  She inspires me to be better.
 If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
Link up everywhere you can.  Be personal when commenting on other bloggers posts.  I really hate when I get a comment that says "hey following you, follow me back".  I always do the courtesy of following back, so you don't need to tell me to follow you.  I also believe that readers will follow you if they are interested in your blog and the content.  I'd rather have less followers but faithful readers.  I like to leave comments for people that are more personal, and let them know that I actually did read their post and browse around their blog a bit.  I usually say something like "Hey!.  Following you now through.......i'd love to see around my place sometime ;)".
 What Social Networks are you on?
Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, Pinterest, Etsy
 What networking do you do, that you feel helps your blog and/shop the most?
Facebook! I LOVE my Facebook page. It brings me a lot of traffic.  Because I follow SO many blogs, sometimes I will actually check faceboom for new blog updates instead of my reader.  It's impossible to read every blog I follow everyday - that would take more hours then we have in a day!.  So I often peruse Facebook for the new posts.  I also contact other bloggers and do swaps, giveaways etc.
What has been the best thing about blogging so far, feel free to share any exciting triumphs or milestones you have had or reached! :)
The best things about blogging for me is the relationships it has brought me.  I have gotten so much support from my readers and I actually feel like I know some of them personally.  I have gotten to meet 2 blogger friends in real life.  I had a girls day out with Em at And Nothing Else Matters a few weeks ago and in a few weeks we're doing a craft market together.  She lives about 5 hours away, but we text all the time, talk on the phone and e-mail.  So I consider her a real life bestie now.  One major milestone for me was reaching 500 followers!.  I never thought that would happen.  The biggest for me was opening my Etsy shop.  It has exceeded my expectations, and I am happy with where I am right now.
Thank YOU so much Maria for having me here today.  It was so much fun.  I'd love to see some of you around sometime.  It would make me really happy and i'd love to get to know you :)
