Cute Tin Bobby Pin Case Tutorial {Made With Recycled Material}

I'm sure I'm not (at least I hope I'm not) the only one who's purse turns into an endless pit of  receipts,
random garbage, toys, hair accessories, make up and so much more!
While cleaning out my purse the other day I came across some "garbage" that I decided could be
upcycled into something totally cute and useful in keeping my purse more organized!

The "garbage" I found?
An old empty eclipse mints tin, and some really cute used tissue paper.. that I "just couldn't" throw away!

So a light bulb went off and I grabbed the rest of the supplies needed to get to work.
~Empty Eclipse Mint Tin
~Cute or Colorful Tissue Paper
~Primer Spray Paint
~Mod Podge
~Foam Paint Brush
~Scissory

So first you're going to need to prime your case... It doesnt need to be perfect, since it will be covered.
Just need to cover the dark green.

Cut a strip of the tissue paper long and wide enough to cover around your tin.
The cover your tin with mod podge.

1.) Wrap tissue paper around tin and add more mod podge as you go
2.) There were a few blank spots on the tin, so I cut out a few extra lips from the remaining tissue paper. Used mod podge of course to stick them on the bare places.
3.) Let dry for about 5 minutes then add another final even coat of mod podge.
4.) Decorate the top with a small rectangle of tissue paper and MP. Then let dry for about 20 minutes.

Once its dry, then you can fill it up.
Now your our loose bobby pins, small hair clips and so much more will be able to fit into this cute little tin!

Stick it in your purse to help keep it organized!
No more messy purse bottom, no more searching for tiny bobby pins or loose change at the bottom of your purse!
Yay!

haha I really feel like an infomercial here!
But I am just so delighted with my little creation! :)
I can think of so many uses...
Like it could be a cute band-aid tin, or I can use it for gum, money (as I mentioned before) q-tips.
Anything I want to keep safe and organized in my purse.
I love that it is very sturdy since its tin, and also just looks adorable!
These would make fun gifts, fill them up and stick them in a stocking this Christmas..

What would you use yours for??

Much Love & Hugs,

P.S. Please check out my linky party tabs to see all the fun parties I will be linking this up to! :)
