~ Tell us a little about yourself and Your blog.
We are 4 sisters that grew up stealing each other's clothes, hogging the bathroom, laughing till wee hours of the morning, and doing projects together. We have since grown up and moved away and we started our blog as a project to do together again despite the distance. We have a love for fashion, crafts, recipes, and just making beautiful things.
~ How did you first get involved with blogging?
I had followed photography blogs for a couple of years, then I realized there were craft blogs, recipe blogs, fashion blogs, and I thought...my sisters can do that. So I called up my sisters with my idea of starting a blog and they were immediately on board. We had no clue what we were doing at first (still really don't) but we have loved the whole journey :)~ How do you come up with material/content for your blog each day, What inspires you?
I have a whole wall of inspiration and sketches and thoughts and ideas taped up in my craft room. I try to see inspiration and potential in everything even if it doesn't really relate to what I am doing. I also often try to think, what do I need to make ____ better. And then my sisters and I brainstorm and we do it!
~ What has been the most challenging moment in being a blogger?
Time. There never seems to be enough. Often I think, sleep is overrated haha!~ Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
Elsie from A Beautiful Mess. I really respect bloggers who work so hard on sharing good quality content. You can see Elsie's heart and effort in every single post she does.~ If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
Have fun! Often bloggers get so caught up in gaining a reading that the fun is lost in the blogging and that is always really apparent when I first come onto a site. Blog about what you're passionate about and the readers will follow.
~ What Social Networks are you on?
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+~ What networking do you do, that you feel helps your blog the most?
It's such a toss up! Facebook has been a great tool to connect with our followers, I've connected with so many blogging friends through twitter (none of us were twitter users before the blog) Pinterest I get lost in almost daily finding inspiration, and we use Google+'s google hangout to have our blog meetings since we all live so far away from one another.
~What goals do you have, if any, for your blog/shop right now and in the future?
We feel like we're still discovering ourselves. Our goal is to keep growing and learning who we are as bloggers and even who we are in our daily lives. I have learned so much and want to continue on this potential that I feel we have. A definite goal for the very near future is reopening up our shop with products that we've been working hard on and feel reflects us.~ What has been the best thing about blogging so far, feel free to share any exciting triumphs or milestones you have had or reached! :)
How could we not mention our two appearances on the Martha Stewart Show? That was an incredible experience I still feel like was a dream that didn't really happen. We really wanted that and somehow made it happen. Also just gaining any kind of a readership. Sometimes we sit back and are amazed that even 1 person in the world comes back to our blog to read more daily. Truly truly thankful for our followers.
~ Is there anything you know now that you wish you knew before you started blogging?
As crafting bloggers I wish I would have only done projects that fit in my life. At first I often did projects for the sake of blogging that I didn't really love because I thought that was the only way people would like us. I have become a much happier blogger after learning I can blog about things that I actually love and want to make whether or not people like it.~ Is there anything else you would like to share with my readers?
