Tell us a little about yourself and Your blog/shop.
Hi there! I'm Kristine!
Wifey to the Hubs, Momma to our M&M girls, and Lover of Life and Laughing! My blog is where I blog about {us}. The Good, the Bad, & the Dirty. You’ll also find some crafting, my fashion style, and all the bits and pieces that make me {me}. I can be a wee bit sarcastic, but try not to take offense mmmkay? My Shoppe is where I share my love for creating things with my own hands. You'll find an eclectic mix of handmade goodness for ladies and sprouts.
How did you first get involved with blogging?
I started this blog journey in May 2010. I started this blog with my SIL, as a way to share and record our creativity. We share{d} just about everything; from recipes, mom tips, fashion, home decor, and crafty ideas + tutorials. Read more about us here. I've just recently taken over both the Blog and The Shoppe (J&M's Eye Candy Shoppe on Etsy). I changed the blog name to reflect more of my and my little fam.
Has blogging played a role in the start of or development of your shop? If so, how? If not, tell us how your shop came about.
After trying to persuade each other to open an Etsy shoppe, we decided to open one together, lol! It made perfect sense to us, and it was so nice to always have each other to bounce ideas off of and to be there for each other.
How do you come up with material/content for your blog each day, What inspires you?
Life in general inspires my blog posts, since that's what I write about. I try to inspires others with our stories and experiences, but I'm really just documenting our big and not so big adventures :) I get inspiration from other bloggers as well! A lot of them offer journal prompts which are awesome! I learn stuff about myself in those writing "exercises"
What has been the most challenging moment in being a blogger?
Receiving anonymous hurtful comments. I need to try harder at not taking things personal and reminding myself that haters gonna hate, and I need to laugh at them and move on ;)
Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
My "favorite" is one I wrote recently. You can find it here. It sums up why I blog, and gets down to the nitty gritty of if you don't like what I'm writing, please stop reading ;)
Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
Daily reads: Casey @ Casey Wiegand, Raven @ A Momma's Desires and Pacifiers, Sarah @ Racing Towards Joy, Erin @ Captivated by Grace, Ashley @ The Shine Project, Sadie @ Simply Sadie Jane, Jen @ Tatertots and Jello, Erin @ Living in Yellow,
Even tho this is a modge podge of different women, at different places in their lives and different writing styles I love how they are all true to who THEY are. No bull. They put their hearts and honesty in every.single.one. of their posts. Love that and strive to do that as well.
If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
Just go for it! Do it for YOU, and be true to YOU. Try not to worry about the numbers (I know it's tough), but instead focus on making connections. I am still amazed at how many "real" friends I have made thru this little blog of mine! So blessed.
What Social Networks are you on?
Blog / BlogLovin / Facebook / Shoppe / Twitter / Google+ / Pinterest
What networking do you do, that you feel helps your blog and/or shop the most?
I join blog hops and social media hops. The more you put yourself out there the more you will get in return :) Step out of your comfort zone, it's good for you!
What has been the best thing about blogging so far, feel free to share any exciting triumphs or milestones you have had or reached! :)
Totally "meeting" and making new friends who seem to just "get me" These friends truly inspire me and encourage me on a daily basis, and I hope I do the same for them. I recently found out one of my "blog friends" lives down the road from me!! Meeting in real life was such a treat!

Is there anything else you would like to share with my readers?
It's super easy to judge and make assumptions about others, especially when you're reading about how rad their lives are. Remember that people tend to share the good parts of their life in blogging. For me I sometimes stop myself from posting a "rant" post or about a bad day I had, because I don't want to bring YOU down, but I'm learning that sharing the good AND the bad is the best thing I can do. I have to remind myself and repeat the quote below:Use your blog, your talents to encourage each other. Inspire others. If there's something you like, be sure to take a sec to let the author know you do! Think someone looks rocking, tell them so! I think if everyone took the time to spread a little love, a little light to another person, the chain reaction would just be incredible and imagine what we as people can do with that {power}.
I would love it if you stopped by and checked our story out! Be sure to leave a comment, because I would love to follow your adventures too!! Thanks so much for having me Maria!! So honored to be on your blog!!
