Tell us about you and your shop:  Hi!  My name is Sarah, I'm a 30-something mom of 4 and I live in Enterprise, AL.  I started my Etsy shop a few months ago, Blue Soul Designs,  and am loving it!  I make handmade jewelry, focusing on wire wrapped rings and necklaces. My designs focus a lot on nature, but also the fun and unique.

How did your shop come about? I suffer from mold illness and Lyme disease.  We lost our home and all of our belongings a year ago to toxic mold.  Treatment for this isn't recognized by traditional Dr's and most of the treatment isn't covered by my insurance.  I sought a way to retain my sanity and hopefully be able to bring in some extra funds for medical treatment.  A friend recommended that I try to make jewelry.  I never in a million years thought I could do it!  I LOVE making jewelry for people.  It's definitely helping to keep me sane right now. :)

What is the meaning behind your shop name?  I LOVE the beach.  Right now, we're only a few hours from Panama City Beach, FL.  The beach is the one place I feel completely at peace at and I physically feel better when i'm at the beach.  Also, blue just happens to be my favorite color!  Blue Soul represents that place where your soul is completely at ease and at peace and you are free to create and just be yourself.

What inspires your when creating?  Nature is my biggest inspiration. I see beauty in every day, ordinary objects as well.  I also have a bit of a weird side to me. Truth be told, I'm a little rebellious! ;)  I love the unique and different.  Right now, I am LOVING steampunk jewelry!  I have tons of ideas that will be put to flesh soon with a Steampunk vibe.  I think if something can be unique and beautiful at the same time, that's the best of both worlds.

What is the most challenging thing about selling online?  Not being able to work with a customer face to face.  Hoping they love their order when it arrives and that you exceed their expectations.  I'm always too hard on myself. Making sure the customer is 100% happy is my #1 goal.  I always follow up with my customers after they recieve their order to make sure they are completely happy.

What is the most fun thing about selling online? Meeting all of the wonderful, unique people out there!  It's been a blast...from customers, to other Etsy owners...I am loving it!  I have met some of the sweetest people.

What Social Networks are you on? I'm on Facebook  I haven't jumped on the Twitter bandwagon yet. I fear I would be permanently attached to my computer if I did (who am I kidding, I'm already permanently attached to my computer)!

What goals do you have for your shop?  To be a successful Etsy shop, known for awesome creations and great customer service!  And, maybe one day to get one of my items featured on the front page of Etsy...but I'm REALLY dreaming with that one! :)  I am always thrilled when I get a new order.  And, something you should know...I'm a perfectionist and a bit OCD...so that totally works in my customer's favor. :)
Do you have any tips for selling on etsy?  Absolutely get involved on those Etsy teams!  They will help you with how to word your titles and tags-that is essential!  There are so many incredibly sweet people on Etsy, who want to see you succeed and will help you along with way with figuring things out.
Is there anything else I would like to share with your readers?  Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me and Blue Soul Designs!  Ya'll are awesome!!!
