Date Night

So Friday, The Hubs and I went out on a date!
We decided that since we have been working so hard and have come so far in our weight loss,
(Im down 16 lbs now btw!) that we deserved to treat ourselves to a dinner and movie!
Dont worry, we didnt cheat on our "diets".
(I dont like calling it a diet, we plan on keeping up our healthy eating habits even after our goal weight).
Anyways... we went to Applebees because we knew they had an under 500 calories menu.
My meal only had 460 cals. And it was so yummy!
Both The Hubs and I were trying to eat real slow.
1. Because we had over an hour and a half until our movie started.
and 2. Because we wanted to make sure we felt nice and full.
The Hubs was having a hard time. He looked at me and my plate still pretty full and said
"Im trying to eat slow, I promise!"

I laughed and told him, "The trick is to put your fork down between bites!"
I dont know about anyone else, but I know for me.. If the fork is still in my hand I tend to just shovel the food into my mouth, one bite after another. Usually because it tastes so good I just dont want to stop! (Yeah thats so bad!) haha But the problem with that is Im not even really tasting or enjoying my food that way. Plus I eat so fast, I dont realize Im full, and thats why I over eat!
So I've learned to put the darn fork down, chew and enjoy each bite slowly.

The  Hubs smiles and said "Ohh yeah, I got it. Ok so this is what I will do; Put the fork down, wipe my mouth with my napkin, take a drink of my water, then take another bite."
I Laughed, "Clever...Fork, Wipe, Drink, Bite" hahaha
Ok so we are total nerds... But whatever. ♥
Shirt: Ross, Jeans: Old Navy, Flats: Walmart
Headband: Made by me! Necklace: Also made by me.. TUTORIAL coming tomorrow!!

So the movie we went to see was The Hunger Games!!
It was SOO good. I really enjoyed it, and actually so did The Hubs!
Ive never read the books or even heard of them until all the hype over the movie came about.
So when I read a couple of people's reviews (who hadn't read the books either) say they didn't really like it and that it didn't really make sense, I was worried. But I thought it made complete sense, I didn't feel like I was missing anything because I hadn't read the book. I also thought it was a really interesting movie and concept. I am intrigued now to read the books. ♥
(BTW...Notice how baggy my pants are looking! Yay!
Soooo, Hey... what do you think of my necklace?
I'm totally loving it... and I will be sharing a tutorial for it tomorrow!
So be sure to head back here to check it out. ♥
