Earrings & Bangles: Gift from The Hubs, Anchor Bracelet: Agape Love Designs
I have had somewhat of a mini obsession with anchors lately.
There is something about that cute little anchor design that grabs my attention and makes me smile.
So when I happened to see this dress over at Kintage, (on sale, no less) I was instantly smitten!
I had to have it!

For me the anchor symbol is a reminder to be anchored in God, in His love, Grace, Mercy and the Hope He has given me.
It is a reminder of this verse: Hebrews 6:19a "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."
It is a reminder of this verse: Hebrews 6:19a "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."
I just love that, don't you?
Well, because I sort of have a bad memory, and I am a very visual person, I sometimes need to SEE something to remind me of what I know, but sometimes forget.
And sometimes its nice to see, touch, hold, something real to remind me of something that I cant see or physically touch.
Which is why I decided to also make myself the anchor bracelet I'm wearing.
Its perfect to go with my dress, and to wear daily as a symbol and reminder of the hope and love I have in God!
And of course, its pretty and sparkly - those are an added bonus. ♥
I'm a very sentimental person, many things that I own have special meaning to me.
And I like it that way.
What about you? Are you a visual or sentimental person like me?
Do you like to have or wear items that remind you of good things?
I had a feeling, that if you were... That maybe you might want a bracelet like mine.
Yes?
Well, perfect, because I have one extra anchor charm left and would love to give it to one of you!

Ive been a follower on fb only and I am now one on GFC. I dont know why I've waited so long to follow you lol But I truly do love that verse. I have a rock that says the word "hope" on it to remind me that God is my rock and my hope no matter what.
ReplyDeleteYou look so gorgeous btw!
Looking forward to commenting more on here....
p.s. I'm the perfectly posh consultant ;-)
Love it all! What a great thing to think when I see an anchor from now on! You are beautfiul and so is your mind and heart!
ReplyDeleteYou are one amazing lady!! I love your generosity and spirit. And I love the whole anchor idea- I am waiting for a silk wrap with a cross and nail toggle that I can wear daily to remind me to count my blessings no matter how bad things may get. You and I are the same when it comes to visuality.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, love following you and reading all the things you post! I do Love wearing things that have a meaning behind it. My wedding ring is a heart shape & most my rings, because I collect heart things. The heart can hold a lot, to me the symbol of love and loving one another. So instead of a big fancy diamond or whatever someone else may have for their wedding ring, I chose a heart to show the love between my husband and I. Also loving the Anchor theme! Thank you for sharing your posts! :-)

I'm a very sentimental person and love things that serve as reminders. I love the symbolism you have for the anchor. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this. what a great idea. I have a cross bracelet just like this and I wear it ALWAYS, but I am sad because the CROSS has become so "fashionable" and I feel people are forgetting the true meaning. I just love the symbolism you established for the anchor. Anchor our hearts in Gods word so that we shall live as Christ designed. Like Shinning Stars!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Maine and LOVE anything nautical! That bracelet (and dress) (and you) is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHello Beauty! I <3 anchors due to Hubs being in the Navy & retiring @ Chief! They have a rope on their anchor & that type is difficult to find! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your bracelet! Well being honest, I love your outfit as well!! You are slimming down so very nicely! I am going to scour MY WM for a sweater like that.
