I Choose To Be That

A dear sweet friend, whom Ive never actually met in person - but has been a constant source of love, encouragement and wisdom to me through comments and emails, sent me a thoughtful little email a few days ago.

It was a simple little thinking of you email. But she shared a quote with me that she said reminder her of me.

It really hit home with me and so I wanted to share it with YOU all, too.

The quote said:

"Just because I laugh a lot, doesn't mean my life is easy.

Just because I have a smile on my face everyday, doesn't mean that something is not bothering me.

I just choose to move on, and not dwell on all the negatives in my life.

Every new moment gives me the chance to renew anew.

I CHOOSE TO BE THAT."

That is seriously so right one for me right now.

Obviously I am still smiling, laughing, living life...

But the truth really IS that I AM still hurting.

There are things still bothering me, and things are not easy for me right now.

But I am hoping and praying for the best.

I know things will eventually work out.

I am trusting in God's timing.

And I am surrendering it all to Him.

I have been that person who dwells on the negatives.

The person who couldnt forgive.

The person who held grudges.

And that person was NEVER happy.

I DO NOT want to be that ever again.

So I will smile, and I will laugh, and I will find the joy in life aside from all the negative.

Aside from the hurt, aside from any and all disappointment or bump in the road I face.

And I pray that this helps not only me, but others as well, to remember to be kind and compassionate.

Because everyone is or will be or may have recently just gotten over a battle of their own.

Just because you cant tell, doesn't mean their life is perfect.

Lets choose to be better each day... Even each moment.
