My Husband Does My Makeup - Makeup Monday {Challenge}

Hello beauties, and welcome to week 4 of Makeup Monday!
I am thrilled you are here today, because we have a SUPER fun(ny) challenge for you.
This week on Makeup Monday we challenge you to let your husband do your makeup!
Take photos along the way, or even do a video, and then link up here.
I encourage you all to join in on the fun and participate.
Of course you do not HAVE to do this challenge to link up... All beauty related posts are welcome!
But I am especially excited to see how this silly challenge turns out for others.
And I am excited to share how The Hubs did MY makeup, today.

But before we get to that I would like to remind you that you can sign up for the Makeup Monday Newletter, and be in the know about future challenges, giveaways & more!
Hubs was a little hesitant to doing this challenge, at first.
But he came around with a mischievous look on his face,
when I said he could do my makeup however he wanted.
At that moment, I was a little scared... But figured this would make for a very funny post.

So I laid out most of my makeup for him to pick over...
It was just slightly overwhelming for the poor guy, but he dug right in to figure out what should go first.
This is my face before, the blank canvas for him to work with.
He started with my Mary Kay Timewise Luminous wear liquid foundation.
In the second picture you see how he held my head back.
He did this pretty much the whole time.... Talk about a pain in the neck! HA
This is how I looked after he was finished applying the foundation....
Not exactly the best coverage, or even application -
notice my dark under eye circles are still pretty obvious.
He didn't apply any kind of concealer.
Instead he moved right on to the blush.
He is using Avon Smooth Minerals Blush in Rose Radiance.
I have to tell you that before he applied, he specifically told me "Dont Smile!"
Which made me laugh, because of course I usually always smile to apply blush! ;)
So after he applied brush, he was pretty flustered because he had put on too much.
So he grabbed my cover-girl pocket powder to "fix and blend" the blush more.
Next he moved on to my eyes.
He used my Maybelline expert wear quad in "Amethyst Smoke".
He only used one brush the whole time.
I was seriously freaked out with how high he was taking the dark color up my eye lid.
And also slightly worried when he started brushing shadow underneath my eyes! HAHA
This is what it looked like when he was done applying the eyeshadow!
I feel like I should be playing a character in a Tim Burton Movie.
Very creeepy, looking.
No, I didn't get beat up, my husband just did my makeup! HAHA
Next up he added some eyeliner. I didnt get any photos, because he was scaring me a little...
And I was afraid to move with him coming at my eyes with the "drawing stick" as he called it.

He did a decent job with the mascara, but as you can see he still kept my head within his secure grip!
He sort of got frustrated with the way he applied the mascara, said it was getting too clumpy!
So he reach for my brow brush, for a quick "fix". I was dying, trying not to laugh.
The results of his lovely eye work...
Its so cute, how hard he tried... I mean he lined my lashes with the eye liner and everything. :)
Next up lipstick. He really likes lipstick on me... So he seemed to like this part, more than the rest.
He had to look at each (the very few) that I have to choose from to decide which one.
Of course he chose red.
Which, I had a feeling he would.
Finally he was finished with my face...
But before I took more photos he insisted on picked a headband and earrings for me to wear too.
To complete the look!!
Headband is by Much Love Illy, Earrings by Annabell & Louise Designs.
Over all he didn't do a HORRIBLE job,
but I did feel like a street walker in two day old makeup!
Also, these photos dont really do his handy-work justice,
believe me when I say it looked a lot WORSE in person.
In case you were curious at all, as to what products he used...
He is a photo of everything he put on me:
Well, that was fun!
I defintely appreciate The Hubs being game for this challenge.
I hope it brings a smile to your face, it sure does make me smile.
And I believe it has even given The Hubs an appreciation for the time I put into my beauty routine. ♥

  10. This is hysterical! And I have to say, I think he did a WAY better job than my husband did. At least yours used foundation and not just bronzer blush all over your face!! :) Such a cute idea, and give your hubby a high five for the effort!
