DIY Sweet Heart Eyes - Makeup Monday Linkup

Happy {Makeup} Monday friends!
Who is excited about Valentines Day coming up?
Do you have any fun plans or a great date to go on?
If so, do tell, so I can vicariously live through you!! haha
Hubs and I don't have any plans, its sort of hectic right now with the kids being sick...
And trying to get a sitter when most other people we know have plans already!
We may just do a family game night or something fun with the kids at home. ♥

Anyways... Big plans or not, Valentines Day is still fun for me.
A day filled with pinks, reds, hearts and lovely dovey stuff is alright by me! ;)
Any holiday that gives me an excuse to dress or do my makeup in a theme, makes me happy....

Which brings me to today's Makeup Monday look!
My beauty partner in crime Mrs. Kitteh, and I have challenged you all to post a Valentines Day look!
Whether its a look for day or night, or a V-day inspired Mani, or flirty hair style we wanna see your V-day looks! So link it up girlies!! Of course you can still link up any and all beauty posts, this challenge is just a fun prompt. ♥ Here is the fun v-day inspired look I came up with!

A simple smokey eye with a fun heart accent.
For this look I used...
Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction Shadow Primer
And My Beauty Addiction mineral shadows in Sand Dollar, Black Magic, and Romeo.
Lips:
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Very Cherry.

OK, so if you are curious at as to how I got such a perfect little heart on my eyes...
I put together quick how-to. Because its SUPER simple.
I actually took this tip from The Beauty Department, they used this trick to create a perfect heart on nails for a sweet valentines day mani! I thought if it could work for nails, it could work for the face!
Washi tape is perfect cause its not too sticky, where it will leave residue or mess with your makeup...
TIP: After sticking on the washi tape heart template, I dabbed some PRIMER on the heart, before applying the shadow! This really made the shadow stick and the color pop!

This is a pretty and subtle, yet FUN way to add some valentines day flare to your regular look.
And you can have fun and change up this look as well, add more hearts, place them in different spots,
do different colors... My kids just loved and got a kick out of the hearts. ♥ And even The Hubs thought it was cute. ♥♥
