TreSkinRX Review

About 2 weeks ago I received a 2 week trial kit of TreSkinRX courtesy of Leen. And I am so excited to share about it with you. I will mention each product I received and let you know my thoughts on each. But before I continue on with that, I've asked Leen to share a basic summary of what TreSkinRX is:

I will tell you now, I've always had fairly clear skin. I don't suffer from horrible acne, rosacea, eczema, and I don't have sensitive skin. My skin is combination/dry. I do have very dark under eye circles (runs in my family), and my problem zone is my T-zone, nose, mostly. But every once in a while I do get very MILD under-the-skin pimples, on my checks closer to my hair line. Luckily, for me, they come in a more inconspicuous place, but on the down side they are also harder to get rid of! Now that you know a little about my skin, I will share with you the products I received, my thoughts on them and how they have affected my skin!

The first 4 items were in the the Normal/Dry 2 week kit, which I sampled.

Purifying Cleaner (click links for more details about item):

TreSkinRX's Purifying Cleanser is designed to unclog pores and remove impurities. The unique formulation of ingredients works to cleanse the skin while leaving it feeling soft, silky and refreshed. A noticeable improvement in the suppleness of the skin will be achieved after the very first use

Initial Thoughts: Though these products are fragrance free, they do still have a scent to them. When I first used this I thought it had an interesting musky smell. Reminded me of a man's cologne. But it works great at cleansing and removing all the makeup on my face.

Affects on my skin: Since using this entire skin care set, my skin has never been softer and more moisturized!

EX3 Daily Renewing Exfoliant: 

Aloe-Based EX3 Daily Renewing Exfoliant is TreSkinRX's most celebrated product. This patented state of the art exfoliant combines aloe vera, L-ascorbic acid beads (vitamin C) and glycolic acid into one unique formula that aids in the removal of dead skin cells while activating the production of collagen - the skin's natural rejuvenation process. The result is a marked reduction of fine lines and wrinkles along with improved texture and skin clarity. As an added benefit, the tiny vitamin C beads function as biological co-factors and antioxidants, protecting the skin from damage caused by the environment.

Initial Thoughts: I had to read the directions 3 times, to make sure I was reading right. This is an exfoliant that is NOT washed off! That surprised me. It seems so thick and I was worried it would be weird not to wash off. Its a thick yellow cream with blue beads. The blue beads rub in and mix as you apply to your face and turns green. But it does blend and absorb well into your skin! Also it felt very tingly when I applied it. The tingling sensation is normal (as I read) and for those with more sensitive skin it may feel like a burning sensation. For me though, I am rough with my skin (I usually scrub with a wash cloth and hot water - so this didnt phase me, I enjoyed it actually). I read that the tingling is usually more intense for those with unhealthy skin, but will get better after a couple weeks. For me, the tingling wasnt too bad, but subsided after only a week of use.

Affects on my skin: Ladies, I LOVE this product! In my opinion its a GREAT exfoliant. I really loved the tingling feeling it gave. My skin has been soft, smooth, and the hard to get rid of pimples on my checks I mentioned above (which have been there for months) have mostly cleared away. And the couple that remain have drastically reduced in size.

The Hubs even commented on my skin... Only 3 days into starting this routine, The Hubs made a comment about my face/skin. Something like "Wow babe, your face looks amazing. Its looking so clear. That new face wash you started using must be working!" And this was in the morning, only a few hours after I woke up. I still had a clean face - no makeup. This definitely put a big smile on my face. It's big when he notices little stuff like that.

Triple Defense Day Moisturizer With SPF:

TreSkinRX's Triple Defense Day Moisturizer (with SPF 15) is a light, non-greasy formula which moisturizes and conditions to leave the skin extraordinarily soft and comfortable throughout the day. The added SPF 15 also helps shield the skin from harmful UVB and UVA rays.

Initial Thoughts: Very light, a nice texture, reminds me of whipped cream. :)  Feels great on my skin. Blends well into my skin, leaves it feeling soft and moisturized without a heavy greasy feeling.

Affects on my skin: As I've mentioned already, my skin is the softest it's been ever.

 Night Repair Moisturizer:

TreSkinRX's Night Repair Moisturizer is a nourishing, humectant-enriched cream designed to replenish the loss of moisture within the skin's tissues. The strong humectants and masking agents, such as collagen, work overnight to preserve and restore the skin's natural moisture level and revive the skin's tension and firmness.

Initial thoughts: This is a very thick and creamy moisturizer. I love the feel of it. My face instantly felt nice and smooth. Even though it is a thicker cream, its doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

Affects on my skin: I think I love this cream the most out of all the moisturizers! I love the thick creamy texture. I love the way it feels on my skin, and when I wake up in the morning my skin still feels soft and smooth as ever! LOVE.

Instant Lift & Brightening Mask:

The ultimate facial for men and women, TreSkinRX's Instant Lift and Brightening Mask provides a temporary lift to the skin and helps to diminish fine lines while toning and firming. With regular usage, it will also decrease hyperpigmentation from sun damage, age spots and blemishes.

Initial Thoughts: This stuff is interesting, the color and texture reminded me instantly of caramel. And I was a little hesitant to put it on my face! haha I thought it would be difficult to apply to my skin with such a thick sticky texture. But it goes on fine. You allow it to dry 10-15 minutes before washing off. It really makes your face stiff!

Affects on my skin: I must admit, this and the EX3 are my favorites out of all the products I tried! It truly did make my skin feel more firm and look smoother after each use. I'm a fan and definitely want more of this product! LOVE LOVE! I also did notice a slight difference in my skin tone, with my darker areas becoming lighter. Not a crazy difference, but I'm guessing with prolonged use it would just keep improving.

Tone & Rejuvenating Spray:

This gentle skin toner contains natural, moisturizing humectants that tone the skin and add moisture without causing surface dryness. TreSkinRX's Tone and Rejuvenating Spray also restores the skin's natural pH, removes any last traces of cleanser and debris, and is great as a light body moisturizer, working to hydrate, soothe and refresh.

My Thoughts: I must admit I can't give a great review of this product as I only used it maybe 3 times. I'm not used to having a toner in my routine, so I kept forgetting about it! What I can say, is that as a whole, the products from this line that I have tried have been wonderful, they do not disappoint. So I feel confident in assuming that if you are a toner user, you will be happy with this product. ♥

Hydrating Body Moisturizer:

The conditioning agents in TreSkinRX's Hydrating Body Moisturizer are designed to soothe, heal and protect the skin. This special formula will leave your skin feeling nourished, nurtured and ready for whatever nature has in store.

Initial Thoughts: I will admit that this moisturizer was not my favorite. I'm really big on texture and to me, this one just felt too thin. Almost watery, but not. Ive tried several kind of lotions that were on the cheaper side that had this same texture, and I think that's what put me off on it, it reminded me of those cheap lotions. The plus side is that, those cheap watery lotions dry up quick and leave your skin also feeling dry within 10 minutes... And the Hydrating Body Moisturizer did NOT do that! It is still a very good moisturizer. My skin still looked shiny, soft and moisturized for several hours after using it. Still, I couldn't see myself continuing to use it. I did use every bit of my sample, because I felt like I couldn't get enough on my skin. As I said, I'm big on texture, and I like my lotions/moisturizers to feel thick and creamy and take some time to rub into my skin. For me, this one felt like it absorbed in too quickly... And that bothered me a little.

Affects on my body: I used this on my hands, legs, elbows and ankles. It did leave my body feeling soft and moisturized for several hours.

 

 My over all thoughts on this skin care regime is that its amazing. When I can get my hands on full size products, I will be doing so!
