Also this week is another Makeup Monday Challenge!
We only do challenges about twice a month, as a way to shake things up and encourage everyone to step out of their Normal Beauty routine and do something fun and different. I hope you will consider participating.
This week's challenge is a $20 (MAX) Drugstore Makeup Look.
You do not HAVE to participate in the challenge in order to link up, all makeup and beauty related posts are always welcome. But we really do encourage all to participate in the challenge if you can. ♥
I must admit, this weeks challenge was exactly that.. A CHALLENGE for me! Even though, I mostly only use drug store products, its amazing to see just how quickly the cost rises for all the items I used. Concealer, foundation, blush, bronzer, eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, brow pencil, lip balm/gloss/lipstick.... I had to cut most of those out and just go to the basic necessities for my face. For me, with my dark circles I NEED concealer. Foundation alone wont hide those babies!
So I decided forgo any kind of foundation and just use my favorite concealer Glamoflauge.
Its by Hard Candy, only $6 and can be found at Walmart.
Next, I need some kind of power. So I used e.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder which is only $3, and can be found at Target (or online).
I decided to cut out Eye Shadow and just go for nice bold cat eye look with eye liner. I used e.l.f. Liquid Eye Liner, which is only $1, and can be found at Target or online.
Mascara is a MUST. I used Define-A-Lash by Maybelline, which is $6.97 and can be found at Walmart (or most any drug store!).
With such a subtle eye, I wanted to add a little color on my lips. SO I went for Maybelline's Baby Lips tinted lip balm in Cherry.
This is a VERY VERY simple look for me. I'm so used to blush and bronzer, that I feel like I look very pale. And this whole look is very DOLL like. But its pretty and subtle and nice for a quick basic look.
Now I'm excited to see the looks you come up within the $20 budget!!

I love the eyeliner ~ I could never get that even look on both eyes! You rock it!
ReplyDeleteOh pretty!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. Even when using drugstore products, it DOES add up! I use so many individual products that even if they were only $1 a piece I think I'd be over $20! haha. The list is just too long.
