Merida Inspired Makeup & Makeup Monday Color Challenge

Hello Hello to another wonderful Makeup Monday!
This is a Challenge week too. Every so often Andrea and I present a makeup challenge to you.
Of course you do not have to participate in the challenge to link up, BUT its always fun to see how others do the challenge. So we really recommend it!

This weeks challenge is Color Specific! The color is ORANGE! How would you wear orange beauty products? Mani/pedi? Eye shadow? Lipstick? Yes we realize this may be outside of your comfort zone, it is for us too! That's why its called a challenge! :) We hope you will participate.

This challenge actually happen to work well with my NEXT Disney Princess inspired look! So today I decided to share my look inspired by Princess Merida who's firey orange hair did give me a challenge when trying to create a look for her.
Challenging or not, I actually really love how this look turned out. These are not colors I would normally wear together. Well I normally wouldn't just wear orange. But in my opinion these colors are SO Merida. And because of that, look great together. Don't you agree?

So what eye shadows did I use?
Twisted - A greenish-turquoise color, used all across lid.
Golden Tiara -  A limited edition Gold color. (Similar), used on lower lash line.
French Vanilla -  Creamy White. Used as high lighter on brow bone and inner corners.
All of these shadows were used with Shadow Poxy, and can be found at My Beauty Addiction:
As for the Orange, I didn't have a bright orange from MBA addiction yet, so I picked a color from my NYX Pearl Pigments collection called Orange Zest Pearl
Its such a vibrant orange, but I really love how well it accents the blue/green color. Also you will noticed I created a dragged out "cat eye" line with the gold under my lashes. Its subtle from afar, but up close it just looks so cool. And just gives it a hint of fierceness that is so Merida!
