Its been a while since Ive shared a new Disney Princess look. Ive actually had this one for Belle done and uploaded onto my computer for a few weeks now, but have just been hesitant to post it on the blog. I'm not quite happy with this look. It seems a little too dull for me. I was hoping I could do something more creative, since Belle's color palette is very limited. But as the weeks went by I just haven't made the time to create a new look, and I still have looks to create for Mulan and Esmerelda! So I decided to just post this look and move on, happy or not.
Rather than just go for ONE single color, I used 3 inspired by her. Yellow, Gold and Brown for her hair. And even though I know she isn't wearing pink, I just had this urge to add some pink to the look! So rather than add it to my eyes, I put it on my lips. I think this bright pink lipstick color 'Daphne' from Radiant Cosmetics really compliments the yellow/gold combo on my eyes.
The colors I used for this look are:
Tequila Sunrise - Yellow, used on inner lid.
Golden Tiara - Gold color, used on outer lid and crease.
Swiss Chocolate - Rich Brown, used on upper and lower lash line. (I used wetliner foiling serum to make this a liquid liner on my lash line)
French Vanilla - Shimmery cream color. Used as high lighter on brow bone and inner corners.
All of these shadows were used with Shadow Poxy, and can be found at My Beauty Addiction:
Over all I dont HATE this look. It does remind me of Belle and her dress. I'm just not as pleased with is as much as I am the others. Maybe it needed some glitter? Ahh well, I hope you all enjoy it anyways. Let me know what you think?

Hey!Belles's yellow gown doesn't have to be the limit - you have the rich chocolate of her hair, the red of the enchanted rose, and the blue of her every day dress...you are creative and have freedom here :D
ReplyDeleteSuch great ideas, never even thought to combine the dresses or add in from other aspects of the movie! lol
DeleteI like this one. I like all of your looks... I just feel like I can't repeat a lot of them. That's probably silly. (I just have big eyelids that are completely seen even when my eyes are fully open and I'm afraid to use as lot of color.) Silly to not try though, I guess, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised cause I've loved following this series and seeing all you're beautiful looks. You are one gorgeous lady!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm a little more colorful with makeup than most! I love color on my eyes. But I know how intimidating it can be! Its not for everyone, and these looks are mostly for the fun of it. I love wearing these looks, but I know they are not for everyone. I would encourage you to try to step out of your comfort zone though and just try one new color you wouldn't normally expect. You may surprise yourself. Also I think with wider lids, maybe do a brighter color on the lid, then add a darker color to the crease and blend downward into the lid to make it appear a little smaller and more shaded. That may help. :)
DeleteI love your blog! This yellow is stunning... you are becoming one of my top fav bloggers. I love looking at all your pretty makeup styles and tips
ReplyDeleteI love this!! Belle's my favorite <3
ReplyDeleteMaria....I'm not big into makeup but since I've been following your blog....I'm itching to try the Disney Princess Series with my sisters! I'm the oldest of five girls and this will be fun to do with them! Thanks and be blessed!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your looks, but this one is my fav! Love how yellow looks on your eyes

Saw your photo on Instagram, and again just want to say how much I LOVE the idea of the princess theme to the looks. I actually like this one, but maybe you could try it with a darker brown in the crease to give it a little more depth? The gold and the yellow next to one another don't really "pop" so to speak. But it's a beautiful and subtle way to pay homage to the Belle character.
