Rainbow Fish EOTD Urban Decay Deluxe Palette

If you have been following my blog for any amount of time you all know that I am mostly a drugstore diva, or prefer to shop small biz. Makeup & fashion at affordable prices is what I prefer. ♥ So really the ONLY way I can purchase high end products is at a GOOD discount. Recently Urban Decay was on HauteLook, at a majorly discounted price!! So I swooped in and snatched up two palettes (normally $30-$40 each) for only $20 total! If you have not heard of Hautelook yet, you need to sign up! They have all kinds of deals from different brands each week, in beauty, as well as things for your home and fashion for men women and children. Its the best way to buy high end brands for really cheap!

I got the Urban Decay deluxe palette and the ammo palette. I did also get a small travel size of Urban Decay's primer potion with one of the palettes, and was excited to try it. Though to be honest I am really not a fan. I dont like the consistency of it, and didn't feel it helped the shadows stay as well as My Beauty Addiction's Shadow Poxy. So Ive been using the shadow poxy instead even with this and other brand shadows.

My thoughts on this palette: The colors are gorgeous, I love the variety. But I do prefer the ammo palette over this one. I found that these shadows are not as creamy as the ones in the ammo palette. They just seemed too dry. I had a hard time getting enough color on the brush and onto my lids. So I had to keep packing on the color to get it vibrant enough.... To my liking that is. Also I found that they wore off a lot faster than most other shadows too. Still I do enjoy this palette, and the look I created with it, BUT if I had purchased this at its full regular price I probably would have taken it back!

So to create this look I used the shadows Honey, Graffiti, Peace, Fishnet, Ransom & Scratch.

On my Lips: Rimmel London Kate #06, with MBA's Twinkle Dust in Crimson over it.
