Happy Friday Friends! TGIF, right!? Do you have any fun plans for tonight or tomorrow? A girls night out or a date night with your main squeeze? If so, and if you are like me, you definitely want to look and feel your best when you're going out (and heck even when you're lounging at home)! Well dont let this winter weather dry out and chap your lips, ruining your chance to rock a gorgeous matte lipstick, or any lip look for that matter!
I tend to get super dry chapped lips all year round, but especially in the colder months. And I have this awfully bad habit of picking and peeling my lips till they bleed. Sometimes, I need something more than just a lip balm! I need to exfoliate and re-moisturize my lips. Recently I received the [BRILLIANT] Love Heart Lip Care 3 Step System to try ($29) c/o WishTrend... And I must say I am super impressed with it!

-Step 3: Apply adequate amount on lips. 3-4 minutes later, Color of lips will be in pink.
As I mentioned in the last video, I had just completed the system, and was going to give it some time to see how my lips felt afterwards. Typically I am applying and re-applying some kind of lip gloss or lip balm to moisturize my lips and keep them from chapping. However, I wanted to put this system the extreme test... So I did not re-apply the Lip Essence any lip balm for the rest of the evening.
The results: The 'Lip Essence' (lip balm) that comes with the set lasted on my lips for about the next 2 hours. My lips remained smooth, and soft, and even though the feel of the lip essence was gone, my lips still felt moisturized. Usually if I dont put any type of lip balm on my lips before bed I wake up with extremely dry lips. But I woke, and my lips still looked and felt great.
Final thoughts...
On The Price: $29 may seem like a high price to some.... And at first I thought that seemed like a lot for a lip system. However, I remembered I had spent $20 on my previous lip exfoliation system... And it was only a 2 step system. This one has 3 steps, which make it unique to others I have tried, and I feel that the extra step in this system really does make a difference.

Step 1: The "remover" was surprisingly low in texture...
Most exfoliators I have used in the past are very gritty to basically
scrub the dead skin cells off your lips. This has some texture but not
much. I wasn't sure it would actually work to remove or fix my chapped
lips, but it did!
On Step 2: The instructions say to keep the lip gel patch on for about 15-20 minutes. When I first read that, I was kind of iffy.... Like who has time to keep their mouth covered that long!? Especially with kids who ask a million questions every 5 minutes. haha However, I do tend to get about 20-35 minutes of peace while I am in my room doing my makeup. So I just applied the patch while I did my eye makeup, and it seemed to be the perfect amount of time. Also, the set comes with 5 gel patches. It does not say this in the instructions, but with the amount of product given, I am sure if you dont have as much time you could always do the system with just step 1 an 3. Then when you have more time you can do all 3 steps when you really need a moisture boost to your lips.
On Step 3: I thoroughly enjoyed the "Lip Essence" in this system. Again I was surprised by the texture of this. As I mentioned in the video above, I thought this would be more like a lip balm, but the consistency reminded me a lot of a lotion or hair conditioner! Strange, but I liked it a lot. I also LOVED that it gives your lips a beautiful pink tint. Its really like the cherry on top, to make my lips glow and look amazing. It also smells lovely, not too strong, the scent reminded me of apricots.
Overall: I really enjoyed this system, and am glad to add it to my beauty regimen. ♥
