Moody Sisters Toning Salt Soak & Scrub Review

Hello beauty babes, I am back with another fabulous review! I have had the pleasure of working with Moody Sisters Skin Care before, and I absolutely adore this Indie Biz! I was recently sent their Toning
Salt Soak & Scrub to review, and I will tell you right now I absolutely love this stuff. The beauty benefits of bathing with salt, especially dead sea salts have been known for ages. And I actually found some interesting info I will share with you a little later in this post! But first let me tell you a little bit about this specific product.

The ingredients are fresh and natural! All of which I can read, and I love that... Dead Sea Salt, Finely Ground Sea Salt, Oil Blend (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil), Himalayan Salt, Epsom Salt, Kaolin Clay, Grapefruit Essential Oil.

The Scent is said to be grapefruit.  But I thought it totally reminded of those "big stick" cherry pineapple Popsicles? Well not the actual Popsicle itself, but the sent of the Popsicle stick after you ate it. Anyone know what I mean? haha So weird, I know... But that's what the scent reminds me of, and either way, it reminds me of summer and my childhood and I loved it! ;)

Now with this product you can use it as a body scrub or you can also use it as a soak! I love using it both ways. I have a quick instagram video clip, that you will see below to see how it leaves your skin after use. As a srcub, I liked to use it on my legs before sharing. It really makes your legs (and whole body) feel amazing. The salt helps to exfoliate, but the essential oils will leave your skin feeling polishes and silky smooth. You can see in the video clip below how the oils in the scrub coat your skin giving it a "water-resistant" kind of look, but it actually doesn't feel greasy at all. Just silky smooth! I loved it!

I used this product both as a scrub in the shower, and then a couple times as a soak in the bath. And I honestly LOVE it both ways. As a soak it is just so relaxing. One day I wasn't feeling very well. I wasn't able to keep any food down, my body was achy AND sore from working out... So I decided to take a bath and use this as a soak. I was wowed by how much better my body felt afterwards. I had remember learning once about the benefits of salt baths/soaks and that taking salt baths, aside from just plain being relaxing, had all kinds of beauty and body benefits... One specifically about salt being able to remove toxins from the body, making your skin and body look and feel more firm and toned. This recollection got me curious, so I decided to look more into it, and specifically look for the benefits of DEAD SEA Salt baths!

Here is what I found... And this is just from ONE of the many articles I read. (Original Source here) I just thought this one broke it down so nicely, explained a lot, and was actually VERY interesting!

Why are Dead Sea salts beneficial?

The balance of the salts in Dead Sea water are magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides.

Magnesium is important for both combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system. Calcium is effective at preventing water retention, increasing circulation and strengthening bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body, helps to balance skin moisture and is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function). So we can see that bathing in high quality sea salt could replenish the minerals which are critical to our skin metabolism.

I dont know you, but I am in awe of all the wonderful benefits of Dead Sea Salts.... I am hooked now! I absolutely enjoy my Moody Sisters Salt Soak & Scrub, and I BET you would too!
