Rodan+Fields Mini Facial Review

Hello beauty babes thanks for stopping by! Today I have a sort of "first impressions" review of the Rodan + Fields Mini Facial. This was sent to me cortesy of R+F Constultan Kristen Weigand! The Mini Facial set was a 1-3 time use deal... And I am please to tell you my experience, but first let me go ahead and tell you a little bit about R+F in case you were wondering what it was! I know that before Kristen had approached me about a review, I had never heard of it before.

What I received was a 1-3 time use packet of the Micro-Dermabrasion Paste, 1 Night Renewing Serum Capsule, and 3 Lip Renewing Serum Capsules! (Pictured above is the MD Paste and 1 of the Lip Serum Capsules - I forgot to take a picture of it all before I used it!) For this revirw I will go over each product, the description and price as well as my thoughts... Since this was basically a 1 time use kind of thing I cant really share "results" exactly, which is why this is more of a first impressions review. Hope you enjoy and find it helpful!

-ENHANCEMENTS Micro-Dermabrasion Paste: Polishes skin with high-glide, oil-free, sugar & salt scrub formula featuring vitamins C and E. Designed to brighten and refine complexion with gentle exfoliation. Use intermittently to enhance cell turnover and improve skin tone and texture. Lucky Magazine reports that it smoothes away rough spots. 125 mL/4.2 Fl.Oz.

-$ A tub of microdermabrasion paste lasts approx 5-7 months if used on the face 2-3 times per week. PC price on that is $70

-My Thoughts: First off, the packet I received was meant for a one time use, however I felt there was more than enough for several times of use. So I actually saved some of it and was able to use 3 times over to course of a couple weeks which was nice to be able to try it more than once! 

The second thing that I found very interesting and different about this product was that the directions state to apply the paste to the skin and massage for 30-60 seconds without wetting the skin before hand! Of course it also says if you would like a less intent exfoliation you CAN add water. But I was intrigued to see how it worked and felt "dry". I was a little nervous at first thinking it would be like rubbing sandpaper on my face! However it was surprisingly gentle for not having water added. The consistency definitely feels like a sugar scrub, kind of mixed with a paste the same consistency of Vaseline! It was quite nice and gentle, and very easy to massage all over my face. You can see just what it looks like in the photos above.

I am already a huge fan of exfoliating the skin. My skin is not sensitive at all, I enjoy a nice scrub, and this one was just perfect. It was gentle but thorough! My skin felt smooth and polished after each use. And lastly, I must say this paste has a pleasant citrus scent too, which I enjoyed.

-My Thoughts: This stuff sounds amazing! I have heard all kinds of great things about retinol and its benefits for the skin and anti-aging! I did only get one capsule of this Serum, and I WISH I would have gotten a couple more to try a couple more times. So all I can really tell you is how it felt from the one time of use. Again, this was a product very different than other night creams or "serums" I have used before! The texture actually reminded me a lot of a most silicone based primers (or those of you familiar with the monostat chaffing gel - that many in the beauty community use as a primer- the texture is similar to that too). Its very silky feeling and leaves your skin feeling smooth and almost perfected to the touch!

The capsule is super small - I wasn't sure it would provide enough to color my entire face, but it did! I also like the idea of them coming the capsules - this ensures you wont use more than you need to, and guarantee's 60 uses (if you buy the full container)!

- My Thoughts: Alright, let me just get this out right away - I LOVED the Lip Serum!! I am already a big fan lip balms and creams that help to heal and restore moisture to the lips. One thing I love to do is apply a lip balm at night before bed to help my lips soften up by the morning. And this lip serum is perfect, its thick but not too thick or heavy feeling. And it stays on for hours and doesn't just dry up. I love when a lip product stays on and keeps my lips protected! When you wake in the morning your lips feel smooth and moisturized. This product is a MUST, especially this time of year! Kristen was super sweet and sent me 3 capsules of this - I got 2 uses out of each capsule. Again, I love the idea of the capsules - so you are not using too much product. And with 2 uses per capsule, this product is definitely worth the price!
