Maybelline Brow Drama Review & Demo!

Hello Beauty Babes, today I have a review and video demo of a new product from the drug store, Maybelline Brow Drama - Sculpting Brow Mascara ($7.99). I was instantly intrigued by this product because there are not many drug store options for brow products. I have had this product for a little more than a month (video filmed beginning of December) and it has actually made its way into my daily makeup routine. However I dont think this is a product that will be useful for everyone. It has its pros and cons which I will get to, but first I will let you know its claims. Simply put Brow Drama is meant to "easily give you color, texture, and all-day hold with just a few quick strokes." Something to note is that it does not claim to give you fuller or thicker brows.

I personally find that it does in fact add color, a little texture and most impressively is the "all day hold"! It truly does keep my brows in place so much better and longer than the high end brow gel I normally use. I enjoy using Brow Drama when I am in a hurry and dont have time to be super precise and take time on my brows. A con of this product is that it cam look a little messy, its not as precise as a brow pencil or powder would be, however because it does add a little more color and definition to my brows. So I prefer using it than to doing nothing at all, when I am in a hurry.

You can see in the before and after photos below just what I mean. Up close you can see its a little bit of a mess, but from afar (or normal distance one would be from another person) my brows just look like my natural brows, only a little bolder.
You can also tell that this product does not add fullness to my brows. For this reason, I believe this product will not be for everyone. So of course if you are someone with patchy or very sparse brows, this product wont help you to fill them in. This is more of a product for someone with already full brows - that either need hold to keep them in place... Or someone with full but light colored brows, to add some color a little texture as well as (again) all day hold.

I truly enjoy to use this product, as I already mentioned, on the days my makeup is very low key, or when I am in a rush. I feel it gives a very natural brow look, that is a little better than my actual natural brows. However my favorite way to use this product is to apply it after using my favorite brow pencil. This way I get a beautiful precise (and filled in) eyebrow shape, and then the all day hold I am really loving this product for! You can see the difference in the photos below. First side is using only Brow drama, second side is using my brow pencil along with the Brow Drama.

The other "con" of this product is that the brush is not my favorite. Its very unique (you can see it in the video below) and takes some getting used to. I feel like if the brush shape were a little different, it would be easier to use and a lot less messy. Over all, though, I personally enjoy the product. As I said previously it has become part of my daily makeup routine, but is this a product for everyone? No, its simply not versatile enough. But if you already have full to mostly full brows you might find this product helpful.

If you would like to see a demo of how this product apply, I invite you to watch the video review and demo below! And be sure to let me know what you think.
