Get The Look | Makeup Geek Flame Thrower

Hello loves! I am back again with another get the look (video) tutorial to share with you! This look features the GORGEOUS foiled shadow 'Flame Thrower' from Makeup Geek, as the "star" of the look! I received this in a makeup swap I recently participated in, and have been loving it ever since! This shadow is just stunning, pigmented, smooth and really makes my green eyes pop! I decided to pair this shadow with the Jaclyn Hill Favorites Palette from Morphe. I have been reaching for that palette a ton lately!

Rhinestone Studded Falsies | Born Pretty Store

Hello Beauties! Just wanted to pop in today to talk about some fun and funky lashes I received c/o Born Pretty Store!! These are their Rhinestone Studded False Eye Lashes, they come in a 10 pack and cost just $4.58. However, you can save 10% when you use code "AGA10K31". ♥  I thought these lashes looked really neat, and would be fun to use for some dramatic looks.

As you can see, these are not super over the top dramatic. I find they are still very wearable in the day time, if you'd like little a fun pop of sparkle. So that is a nice plus to these lashes. However, I must say, even though these lashes are pretty and fun - I am not loving them as much as I would have hoped to...

I had some trouble when trying to apply these lashes. Since they come very flat (rather than curved like most false lashes) I had a hard time shaping them to my eye. You can sort of see in the photo where I'm looking down, how it just looks straight across my lash line. And because the rhinestones are there, you cant really get the lashes to curve either, even if you try to work with them. So for me that kind of made them a flop. :( Of course once I did get them on and in place, they look pretty cute. As you can see, they look very fun. They just are not fun to apply!

So if you get easily frustrated when applying lashes, or are a newbie to lashes, I'd definitely not recommend these. But if you feel confident in your application skills and want some neat lashes to jazz things up - these are a pretty and affordable option. ♥

Forbidden  is a warm pinkish/rose with a brown tone.

Marsala is inspired by Pantones 2015 Color Of The Year! Its a deep warm rose shade! This is one of my favorites!

Rebel is what we like to call a grungy shade. Its a deeper warm mauve-brown and looks different depending on the skin tone of the wearer. Hello 1990's am I right!? Love this totally on trend throw back shade!

Vintage is another grungy shade. Its a lighter cool mauve-gray nude and looks different depending on the skin tone of the wearer. A lighter version of our Rebel. I think this color in-particular is going to look amazing on EVERYONE!

Wild Child is such a fun & vivid color! Smack in the middle of bright red & pink. And this one just so happens to be my very FAVORITE shade of the bunch! I think it could even be a dupe for the Too Faced Melted Lipstick 'Jelly Donut'!

Missamé 10 pcs Synthetic Makeup Brushes Review

Hello Beauties! Thanks so much for stopping by, today I have a review on an affordable makeup Brush set I received c/o Missamé! This 10 piece bamboo handle brush set is absolutely fabulous. The brushes are super soft and feel luxurious, they each have nice sturdy handles and come in a lovely little case as well as an informative brush guide. Something I am sure many of you will appreciate is that these brushes are cruelty free! And the price point is another thing that satisfies... At just $40 for this set, that makes each brush just $4! An amazing deal considering the quality of these brushes.

Though these brushes are great for all kinds of makeup, I have been loving them especially for cream and liquid products. The great thing about synthetic brushes versus animal hair is that they don't "steal" or absorb any of your [cream or liquid] product! They work fabulously with my ColourPop Super Shock shadows! You can see them in action in this makeup tutorial I recently posted (here). 

The brush hairs are packed well, they are soft and dense but not too dense. So they blend makeup very nicely without leaving steaks. I have other brushes that are too dense, and I feel like they just push product around rather than blending it in, these brushes don't do that, which I love! And, so far I have not noticed any shedding with these brushes which is nice!
