Hello Beauty Babes, today I am thrilled to bring you a quick review of Ecco Bella FlowerColor Lipsticks in their Rose Shades (plus REDvelation, just because I already had it). I've got photo swatches as well as video swatches to share with you! It can be so hard to capture true color via a photo, so definitely check out the video at the end of this post to see how each of the lipsticks look 'live'! Please note, that I did receive these lipsticks in exchange for an honest review!
Ecco Bella offers a wide variety of cosmetics, not just lipsticks. What's really wonderful about Ecco Bella is they provide products that are Natural, Organic, Vegan, Cruelty Free - that multi task as both anti-aging and anti-blemish! Wow, impressive right? Here is what they have to say about their line of FlowerColor Lipsticks (17 shades to choose from):
"Beauty with brains.
Discover the one lipstick that thinks it's a lip balm. The cleanest,
safest, prettiest lipstick for those who love lipstick. And who doesn’t.
Our FlowerColor Lipstick is created with a
simple healthy formula of vegetable waxes, oils, and mineral pigments
that go on creamy and won't feather. Like a lip balm, Ecco Bella
FlowerColor lipsticks moisturize without flaking or chapping.
Naturally-preserved. Gluten, FD&C dye, petroleum and fragrance-free.
All are vegan except Pink Rose, Mauve Rose, Claret Rose, Tuscany Rose,
REDvelation and Napa Grape which are colored with carmine. Now, gorgeous
lips have it made in any shade.
Size: 0.13 oz. Price: $17.95"
These lipsticks are absolutely STUNNING!! From the sleek packaging to the vast shade selection - these lipsticks are just gorgeous. ♥ Some of the shades are creamier and more opaque than others, which I will note, but all of them wear beautifully. I find that some of them that are less opaque offer buildable color, so they go from sheer to opaque depending on how many applications you apply. No more than 3 applications are necessary for a full opaque look, though. They are truly long lasting (about 6 hours for me) and do not feather. I tested these with and without a lip liner and lipstick stayed in place without feathering either way!
Now that you have my quick thoughts on the lipsticks, lets get into the swatches! Ive taken two photos of each Lipstick in both Natural Light (left) and with a Camera Flash (right). This way you can get an idea of how they look in various lighting... And then in the video I filmed in front of a window - so that offers a 'live' natural light view of them as well. It can be so hard to capture true color in a photo, I definitely think the video shows them BEST! SO be sure to give that a watch too. ♥
Claret Rose is one of my top 3 faves!! Its SUCH a gorgeous shade. This shade is one that comes off slightly more sheer at first.
Mauve Rose, another BEAUTIFUL shade. Though, this one I had a tough time photographing! It comes off a lot lighter in these photos than it actually is.Its definitely more of a coral tones pink, but its not as "neon bright" as it looks in these photos. Definitely watch the video to get a better idea of how this one looks. I'd say this shade is right between how it looks in these photos and in the video. Tricky, tricky, I know. This one is also one of the slightly sheer shades.
Primrose, right away I noticed and was blown away with how very opaque and super creamy this one is!! Not my favorite shade of the bunch... But the color pay off and creaminess is heavenly!
Pink Rose!!! YES!! I admit, I saw this one and wasn't sure I'd like such a fair pink, but once I put it on I fell in LOVE. Its such a flattering soft nude pink. ♥ This one applies fairly opaque.
Primerose - a burnt orange kind of shade - again not my preference for lip a lipstick shade. But its surprisingly flattering on me. This one applies slightly sheer.
Rosewood is a lovely pinkish brown shade - the kind of shade that everyone is obsessed with these days! Its the kind of shade that will probably look different on everyone - depending on your skin tone! This one is the most sheer out of all the lipsticks. But as you can tell is still very pigmented (as they all are)!
Tuscany Rose is another favorite of mine, this is another one that applies mostly opaque and is really creamy!
Lastly is REDvelation. This is not one of the rose shades (obviously) but I already had this shade and posted a review on it last year read it (here). So I decided to go ahead an include it as well. This is such a gorgeous red shade. This one also applies sort of sheer, but as I mentioned before - its buildable! As you can see - it doesn't lack pigmentation.
You will be able to see how each of the shades look on me up close (just my lips) as well as full face (like the photo below) to really get an idea of how they all look. I am wearing Pink Rose in this photo:
I encourage you to watch the video below to see how these shade look on video!
Then let me know which shades are YOUR favorites??
Mine for sure are Pink Rose, Claret Rose, Tuscany Rose, and REDvelation!

I love the pink rose but all of them are great. I tend to always choose browns, neutrals, or pastel pinks. I've been having bad luck with choosing great colors lately. You can wear anything!! I meant to say that on the Loving lately #4 video. You look great in all colors, I can't get away with that. :)
