At Home Workout Inspiration Ft. Constantly Varied Gear

Hello beauty babes and fitness friends! Thanks so much for joining me today. I am going to be sharing with you some at home workout inspiration. ♥ While I have written a couple weight loss updates recently, it has been quite sometime since I have written an actual fitness post. And since I have actually been getting quite a few comments and questions on what I have been doing recently concerning my fitness routine, I figured I'd better post a little update. Even though I've finally been able to get back into the gym here and there since injuring my calf, much in my life and schedule has changed. So going to the gym for a few hours a day a couple days a week as I used to, isn't something I've been able to fit back into my schedule just yet. That is a major bummer to me, since I LOVE going to the gym and being able to dedicate a few hours solely to working out.

However, that has not stopped me from getting my fitness on! No excuses my friends. ;) What I now do is a few quick, easy, yet effective 5-10 minute mini workouts at home a couple times a day. Sure its not as much as my usual gym routine - but its what I can do, and its better than nothing! I know there are many of you like me who just don't have a ton of time in the day to go to the gym, or maybe you just cant afford to join one at the moment. And that is ok! You don't need a gym membership to get your fitness on. I'll be sharing with you a few of the exercises and things I have been doing at home to help keep my booty in shape, so I hope you feel excited, inspired and motivated to get up and get active right where you are at as well!

Speaking of "motivated"... How about these Motivated leggings I am wearing!? ♥
I received these Motivated Leggings c/o Constantly Varied Gear! Their leggings are fun, unique and seriously SO comfortable to work out in! Next pair of CVG leggings I'd love to get are these Kiss Print leggings! Constantly Varied Gear offers hilarious and witty tops for both men and women and of course leggings. Now their leggings range from $30-$60, a typical price for quality workout clothing, however they recently came out with a really neat Monthly Leggings Subscription service which starts at just $26.99! You can get leggings delivered to you every month. Some months they choose from their top sellers and some months they will send exclusive designs that will never be offered for sale on their website.
Alright, now that we have all that "fashion" talk out of the way - lets move on to fitness! ;)

So recently I purchased an exercise ball. I have been wanting one for a while so that I could use it in place of my desk chair. Since I sit at a desk for several hours a day I figured I could use it for a little extra balance, posture and toning while I sit. And of course there are all kinds of different ways you can use it to make floor workouts a little more fun and effective.

Pictured above I am doing some "Thigh Strengthening". This is very simple - you just lay flat on your back place the ball between your legs, and keep your legs in the straight. Then press your legs towards each other putting pressure on the ball, hold for a few seconds and repeat 10-12 times.

Pictured below I am simply using the ball to do ab crunches and sit-ups! We all know how to do those things, but who ever really wants to!? I feel like using the ball to do these makes it a little less painful or stressful on your body (ugh I feel old saying that lol), yet at the same time it requires more strength because you also need to balance on the ball.

Next up - Back Strengthening and Reverse Push Ups. Ive always enjoyed back strengthening type of workouts - for me they seem fun, and offer a nice stretch and flexibility to your body! To do this one, you simply lay your stomach on the ball with legs back straight. Place hands behind head - elbows facing outward. Then simply relax and then flex your stomach and back muscles until parallel to the ground... And repeat.

Push-ups... Same as a basic push-up except you have your feet up on the ball. I am still not the greatest at push-ups - my form is usually awful. But I still like to give them a go, because my arms need a ton of work!
There are literally SO MANY workouts you can do with a ball - but those are just a few quick and "easy" ones that I have been doing lately. I definitely recommend getting an exercise ball. They are super cheap and there are a lot of great benefits to using one. Especially if you are like me and sit at a desk several hours a day! Swap it out for your desk chair an hour or two to build your core strength, work on balance as well as posture!

Next up I would suggest you take a gander at Youtube! There are many great FREE workout videos there. I recently discovered a fabulous Workout Youtube Channel, XHIT Daily, while searching for workouts specifically for toning up arm flab!! Not only did I find a great workout video for "How To Lose Arm Fat" but I found they had a wealth of great workout videos that seem to be geared more for women! The workouts are quick and simple enough to do at home, but effective enough that you really feel the burn!! All you need is an internet connection to watch and sometimes some hand-weights to workout with. I am doing a few of the workouts from the arm fat video below. Which - btw - its not easy to take photos of yourself working out, but I tried my best! haha
The XHIT Daily youtube channel has many great videos to check out and explore - find any that suit your fancy or that focus on things you really want to work on physically and give them a go! Another one I have been doing and loving lately is the "Beyonce Butt Workout"!! haha My kids laughed when I told them about it, but I am all for having a nice booty! Anyone else?
Lastly I wanted to mention that I also have a couple workout videos on my own channel! Some of you may already know, but if you don't, I used to film some Zumba Tutorials! You can check them out {here}. Zumba is SO much fun! I have not been back to zumba since I tore my calf muscle, but I miss it a lot. I definitely recommend it for those who want something that seems more like fun than like working out. ;) Anyways... That is all for now! These are some things I have been doing to keep up with my fitness and keep my body in shape with the little bits of free time I have here and there. As I already said a little something is better than nothing. I hope that you feel inspired, encouraged and motivated - and if you have any questions or even suggestions on this topic - please don't hesitate to share! ♥
