Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette | First Impressions + Swatches

Hey beauty babes, today I am BEYOND THRILLED to share with you my first impressions as well as swatches (both photo and video) of the yet to be released Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette!! ♥ As some of you already know (if you follow me on Instagram or are a fan on Facebook) I WON this brand new palette from Too Faced as Ipsy Open Studios. IpsyOS was created by Michelle Phan for beauty content creators! And I do believe that any beauty youtuber can sign up to join, once you sign up, you will have to be approved. Already joining IpsyOS has proven to be a wonderful thing!

So, as I said, I and 199 other people won this palette before is has even been released for sale! Which, if you are curious this Palette will be available for purchase on December 8th, if I am remembering correctly. Which gives you plenty of time to save up for it... Or put it on your list for Santa. ;)

Now, I have only had this palette for one day. YES - I got this palette yesterday, and life literally stopped so that I could photograph and film swatches and a makeup look with it. Personally I am always on the hunt for any information about new makeup products when they release. I want to know what they look like, how they perform.. All that good stuff. So I figured, since I had the opportunity to get this early I could provide that info to you, so you can better decide if you want to buy it or not.

By the way, for anyone curious about these FABULOUS Betsey Johnson heels... They were a Ross find and cost me just $35! A steal compared to the original price of $128!! If you like them, run out and check your local Ross to see if they have them. Otherwise I did find them available online {here} discounted to $89. ♥

I can tell you right now, that had I not won this Palette - I definitely would have wanted to buy it!! Its absolutely gorgeous! And even though I have only had it just one day, I can still tell you already that its amazing. For those curious - YES it does also smell like chocolate, just like the other Chocolate Bar Palettes. The shadows are very nice - the quality you would normally expect from Too Faced. There are a couple somewhat chalky powdery shadows (totally fetch and black currant), but I feel like that kind of goes with "things to expect from Too Faced Shadows". For the most part they are amazing, however SOME of their shadows can be hit and miss. 

As far as comparisons of this to the other two Chocolate Bar Palettes - this one is not too similar to one or the other. I believe its different enough that you can add it to your collection without feeling like you already have the same colors. And While I do think if anything - it leans more towards the Original Chocolate Bar Palette, I think its actually the "middle ground" palette between it and the Semi-Sweet Palette. Its got a good mix of both cool and warm tones. And as far as shadows go - I do believe they are all new shades with the exception of 'Totally Fetch' which was in the (discontinued) Pretty Rebel Palette and 'Satin Sheets' which is in the Boudoir Eyes Palette. 

Alrighty now - lets move on to the swatches!! I have taken photo swatches - but I also filmed a video with "live" swatches. I'll include the video at the end of this post for you to watch in case you want to see that. I know sometimes its nice to see both photo AND video swatches. And I know sometimes people prefer one over the other. SO I just did both to keep everyone happy! ;)

And for anyone curious - these photos were taken inside using studio lighting. I did NOT use any primer with these, they are simply finger swatches. I also did NOT edit the photos in anyway except to collage and add my watermark. I wanted you to see the truest color possible. ♥

My favorites from this palette are definitely Satin Sheets, Cafe Au Lait, Bordeau and Molasses Chip! Which ones are your favorites?? I already created a look with this palette and plan to have that up ASAP - however I would love to know which shadows you would like to see me use in any upcoming looks. Because I would like to create at least one or two more to share with you. ♥
