#GetTheLook | #TooFaced Sweet Peach Palette | Collab w/MeemsCouture

Hey beauty babes, thanks so much for stopping by!! Today I am back with a brand new "Get The Look" video tutorial featuring the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette! PLUS, this is a collab with my friend Mimi of MeemsCouture on Youtube. So, not only will you have my video tutorial, but hers to be inspired by as well. Woop Woop.

I'm so glad to finally bring this video to you all since it has been requested quite a bit for me to do a tutorial with this palette. I have taken my time with it, however, because every look I created with it, I just didn't think was tutorial worthy. Plus I wanted it to be fun and unique. So many looks I have seen with this palette are very neutral - which is great! But I wanted to incorporate some of those gorgeous darker jewel toned shadows in this palette! This look I came up with is a bold jewel toned smokey look - and is reminiscent of an older look (here) I created inspired by the beautiful and unique Mystic Fire Topaz gemstone!

Small Biz Saturday | Broken Arrow Beauty

Happy Saturday beauty babes and welcome to another Small Biz Feature!! This week I would like to introduce you to another fairly new makeup brand called Broken Arrow Beauty. For anyone interested in purchasing - I would like to mention that the owner, Stephanie, has offered a 15% off discount code! This is not an affiliate code and this does expire at the end of September. The Code is 'agapegirl'. So, as you may have already guess from the photos - Broken Arrow Beauty offers fun highlights but they also have handcrafted magnetic palettes.

I received 4 highlights for review: Unicorn Kisses, Tractor, Aurora & Sandy Toes! I have some photo swatches here in this post but if you would like to see live swatches of each of these highlights, be sure to watch the video at the end of this post! I decided to swatch on myself as well as my daughter because I am darker and have olive skin tone and she is more fair with a pink skin tone. So you can get a better idea of how these look on our different skin types!
Now Unicorn Kisses is Stephanie's version of the Rainbow Highlight, that has become so on trend recently! And while this highlight is absolutely gorgeous to look at, I would say its not my favorite to use as a straight up rainbow highlight. It is a very large size 57mm pan. And so when you apply - rather than highlighting your cheekbone it pretty much takes over your entire cheek - you will see this demo'd in my video! So I personally don't prefer to wear it that way. Instead, I think this would be a good highlight to buy as a 5 in 1 kind of deal. Because the pan size is so big, you can definitely dip your brush into the shades individually and get 5 separate highlight shades!  I also think this is wonderful to get if you maybe are a makeup collector. Since its SUCH a pretty thing to look at and I admit - I almost didnt want to use it so that I didnt ruin the pretty unicorn imprint! haha

All of Broken Arrow Beauty's highlights do have a lovely imprint in them too. The others I received have this cute paisley type of pattern as you can see. The imprint doesn't last long after first use though. And while these are pressed highlights they are packed super hard. It only takes the lightest swipe of a brush and you are loaded with product! So you really need a light hand because the pigmentation really packs a punch! I'd say these apply with the same kind of pigmentation you would get with a loose powder.

Swatches! Pictured below is my daughter wearing Tractor (the green highlight) and Sandy Toes (the golden coral highlight). Both of these beautiful highlights have an intense gold shift to them. On my skin they almost appear to look identical. There is only a slight difference in that tractor does pull more of an olive gold tone, and Sandy Toes looks more gold.

Next up is Aurora! This one is my FAVORITE highlight of the 4 that I received! Aurora is an irredescent violet shade that is just STUNNING! Normally I do not go for the cool toned highlights, but this one seemed different and very flattering on my skin. You can see it on my in the photo below. It makes the perfect accent to blush, and I am just in love with it!! And if you are curious about that makeup look, you can get the details on it in (this) blog post. ♥

Something I would like to mention is that the pan sizes of these other highlights I received are a lot smaller (36mm) than the Unicorn Kisses highlight (57mm). And It seems prices have changed since I filmed my video demo last week. In my video I mentioned the highlights were just $6, which was the price when I filmed the video. However, the highlights are now $15, but pan size has gone from 36mm to 44mm. Plus there is the "make it bigger" option, but for just $3 now (originally $8). Again if you are interested in making a purchase from Broken Arrow Beauty dont forget to save yourself a little cash and use code agapegirl for 15% off until the end of September! ♥

ZAFUL Dress Review | OOTD

Hello beauties and welcome! Today you are seeing a "new" face on the blog. Some of you may recognize this is my beautiful daughter, Kiah. ♥ She is helping me with a little review of an adorable color splatter dress we received c/o ZAFUL. Zaful is an online shop for trendy, quality yet affordable clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. I was curious as to how well the quality would be for clothing so "cheap", but from what I can tell of the two items I received (this dress and a shirt - which I will feature later), the quality is actually really great! Its not just "good for the price" kind of thing, these items really are sturdy and great quality! So that's a plus. ♥

I did get to pick out the items I wanted. And this dress was originally supposed to be for myself. But discovered their sizes run very small! So that is kind of the downside of ordering from Zaful and something to note if you decide to shop their clothing. I checked out other reviews and found others saying the same thing. The clothes run small, so be sure to check their size guide. This dress I picked out is actually an extra large! I typically wear a medium in dresses. And while the dress is only a couple inches smaller than my waist measurement, I assumed it would be that stretchy kind of material and would still fit me ok. SO that was my bad. The good thing is the material is a very nice quality, thick and sturdy. You'd never think this dress was under $14!! The other good thing is that even though the dress didnt fit me, it was a pretty good fit for my daughter. And she is always thrilled to get new pretties. (Like mother, like daughter) ♥
Ok, so like I said, it was a good fit for my daughter - but not a perfect fit. You can see in the photo above that while it looked nice on her alone, there is still quite a bit of extra room in the waist. haha But that was a simple fix, we added a cute belt and ta-da a much better fit!
These adorable heels were ALSO a really great affordable price too. I purchased them on sale at Rue21
Have any of you heard of or purchased from ZAFUL before? If so, what was your experience? I know it can be hard to tell which online shops, that offer affordable clothing, are good to buy from. From what I can tell of the items I received, I think ZAFUL is good place. Great low prices and good quality clothing. Just be sure to take proper note of sizing!

Urban Decay Moondust Zodiac | Makeup Inspiration

Hey beauty babes, thanks so much for stopping by! Today I am back with some makeup inspiration for you! The main focus is on the Urban Decay Moondust eyeshadow in the shade Zodiac - which is a stunning smokey blue-green shade loaded with sparkle. The other focus of this look is an incredible irredescent violet highlight called Aurora, from a fairly new etsy makeup brand called Broken Arrow Beauty! I LOVE how perfect this vibrant highlight paired with the green look on my eyes. ♥ What do you think?
Now, most of you that are familiar with my blog and makeup style, already know that I dont wear blues or green shadows that often. I feel because my eyes are a hazel green, that those shades kind of mute out my eye color, rather than bring the color out.

However, I created this exact same look on my niece a couple weeks ago and LOVED the way it looked on her. SO much so that I decided to give it a go and try it on myself. And surprisingly, I loved it on me too. It must be something about this duo-chrome shadow that almost makes my eyes look more green! It doesn't mute out or over-power my eye color, but just makes them look more vibrant. Don't you think so? I also think this would be a GORGEOUS look for someone with brown or blue eyes too. ♥
