Much Love & Hugs,
Hello my loves! Thanks so much for checking out this kind of "wacky" looking post! haha Today I am sharing my current Color Correcting + (cream) Contour & Highlight routine - using affordable/drugstore products! Woop woop! I actually filmed this video quite a while back to go along with (this look) but I completely forgot about it until recently!
At the time actually I wasnt specifically going for the "drugstore" routine, these are just products that had become part of my current routine... And after looking back to edit this video, I realized wow - these are all drugstore products! Which is a fabulous thing, because this full makeup look is one of my favorites I have done in a while. My face makeup looks practically flawless - which goes to show that you don't need super expensive makeup to look good!! ♥

Some of you may or may not recall that I am typically NOT a fan of cream products. In fact, aside from the MUFE Pro Sculping Contour Kit, I have not particularly liked any other cream products. But when Maybelline sent me some of their new cream products to used I wanted to give them a try. And I was surprised by how much I actually really liked them!
Their Contour Duos are so easy to work with, they blend out nicely and almost dry down to a powder finish. I dont thing they are considered a "cream to powder" formula, however they definitely do not have that waxy cream feeling that most cream products have (that I hate). So that was a bonus. And because I was SO impressed with the formula of these I was curious to see if maybe the ingredients matched up with the MUFE cream contour...
So I did a little research and didnt find them to be a match at all. But surprisingly I DID find a close ingredient list match to another high end brand. The Lancome Le Duo Sticks share 13+ of the same ingredients as the Maybelline contour duos! And the order is pretty close as well!
I put together the photo below to show the ingredient lists side by side. The bolded are same ingredient & same order and the bolded blue are same different but order. I know the photo is small, click on it to bring it to full size if you need. ♥
Anyways, I dont own the Lancome duo sticks, so I cannot say for sure if these are dupes - but judging by the ingredients, I bet they are pretty close!! And over all - I totally feel tha if I didnt know better, I would assume the Maybelline duos where a high end product. So I definitely recommend. ;)
