Airbrush Eyeshadow Review & Video Demo | Luminess Air

Huge THANK YOU to Luminess Air & Firebelly marketing for sponsoring this video. And thank all of you who watch my videos and support me in so many ways! All thoughts and opinions are my own and honest - I'll always give you the good and the bad. As you all know, or should know by now, I will never recommend a brand or product that I do not enjoy and/or already love. A sponsorship like this, rather, is a wonderful blessing to have in helping me support my family by doing and sharing what I love!
Hi beauties! Today I'm talking about Airbrush Eyeshadows! I have posted several videos and blog posts about airbrush makeup and Luminess Air reviews in the past, and they recently sent me some airbrush eyeshadows to try and demo for you all! So that's what I have for you today! I will be showing you how I created this eye look and I'll be sharing some tips for application as well as some of the pros and cons of airbrush eyeshadow!
For this look I used the Luminess Air CC+ Concealer in the shade light beige, Luminess Air Airbrush Eyeshadows in the shades 41, 28 & 8!

As you can see I did recieve 4 eyeshadows, and since I didnt use them all, I wanted to swatch them all on my arm for you to see how they all look on their own. You can also see live swatches in the video at the end of this post as well.
I encourage you all to watch the video demo & review at the end of this post so you can really see the products in action. But for those of you who are pressed for time... Here some things I enjoyed:

I really love the end result of using these airbrush eyeshadows.  And I am not the only one, I got so many compliments on my eye makeup the days I wore these shadows!

The colors are so vibrant, long lasting and light weight too.

While using airbrush eyeshadows does take some getting used to, once you get the hang of it, its actually super quick and easy.

Some things that I thought are worth pointing out....

It definitely takes some trial and error when learning to use airbrush eyeshadows! And the Luminess Air website is not very helpful in this aspect. I would love for them to add some written instructions, directions or even some tips & tricks for beginners! I know they do have quite a few helpful videos for using airbrush makeup. But not really any specific to eyeshadows - and I think it would be beneficial to their customers to add that.

I would also love for Luminess Air to add descriptions of their eyeshadows or at least make a note as to which are matte and which are metallic. Its very unclear as to what type of shadow you are getting, and you have to just guess. I am sure customers want to know for sure what they are buying!

Lastly, You must be careful not to open your eyes while the product is still wet, otherwise there may be creasing.
Again, if you have the opportunity, I encourage you to watch my video below! I will walk you through my demo/tutorial on how to apply the airbrush eyeshadow, some tips and helpful info for you! And at the end of the video I go into more depth of the wonderful pros of using airbrush eyeshadow and some of the cons too. Thanks so much for joining me today! Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have. And if you are familiar with airbrush eyeshadows, I would LOVE to hear any tips or tricks you might have to add or share!

If you are interested in checking out Airbrush eyeshadows, you can find them on the Luminess Air website (here).

Best Nutrition For Skin Care In Winter | Guest Post

Best Nutrition For Skin Care In Winter

Winter is a very tough period for your skin. Several facts like low temperature, dry heat, biting breeze, reduced humidity give you a very hard time. The atmosphere will try to snatch the moisture away from your body and make it rough, harsh and stubborn. It is a difficult season, but if you are concerned about a few facts and can ensure sufficient nutrition supply, you can always get a flourished and healthy skin, regardless the weather.

Skin care includes rosy lips and luster cheek, but it is not limited to that. You have to take care of your harsh skin, dry face, joints as well as rough ankle. The weather is hostile, but sometimes the heater in your home is also injurious to your skin. Well, you can take plenty of measures from outside to protect your skin as well as you can make it stronger and healthier from the core. Today I will discuss some diet and nutrition tips which will make your skin prepared for this adverse situation.

Best Nutrition For Skin Care In Winter:
For the best skin in winter, you have to add a few food items from your daily menu.

1. Have Sufficient Lycopene:
Lycopene is an important element for a smoother skin. It is a kind of carotenoid which is usually found in the colorful fruits like pink grapefruit, tomato, red pepper, carrot, guava, watermelon, papaya and so on. The people who have higher lycopene in their body, tends to have a smoother skin. Add any of these fruits in your breakfast to strengthen your skin against this ambivalent cold weather.

2. Isoflavones Is A Cleaner:
Isoflavones in your body work as a wiper or cleaner. When you go out in the sun on a winter day, due to less humidity and dry air, the sunlight causes a higher damage to your skin. Isoflavones filter and scavenge the injurious free radicals from your body. Do not forget to add soybeans, green tea, peanut butter, tofu, edamame and cowpeas to eradicate the effect of this season on your skin.

3. Lutein for Sun protection:
Lutein is a carotenoid which will protect your skin from the harmful UV rays. You can have this core protection from UV rays by eating egg yolk, green leafy vegetables, carrot, spinach and any colorful vegetable. Lutein will also keep your eyes healthy.

4. Omega-3:
Omega-3 is a very important fatty acid if you want to have an overall healthy skin. It is also a trusted fighter against acnes and psoriasis. These skin conditions become very common in winter as your skin become weak losing its moisture. Omega-3 fat works to keep your skin moist, smooth and splendid. The cold water fish like salmon, sardines, tuna, spinach, soybeans and so on are rich in omega-3.

5. Vitamin C:
During winter, the skin gets dryer and age marks as well as wrinkles, try to take that opportunity. Have some vitamin C in your everyday meal to drive away all the wrinkles, age mark or dark mark. Vitamin skin also creates an internal glow of your skin. A glass of lemon juice, lemon, strawberry, broccoli, guava, pies, oranges, etc have a high amount of vitamin C.

6. Caffeine:
There are many well and woe theories about the effect of caffeine in our body, but during winter, it will work as a great support for your skin. The exposed skin to the sun possesses a higher risk of skin cancer in this season. The caffeine in your every day coffee and tea attack the precancerous skin cells and destroy them. But keep in mind, caffeine dehydrates your body, so drink water more than average during this season. The overdose of caffeine will not be well received by your body.

Are You A Sports Enthusiast?
The above-mentioned nutritional requirement is for the regular people who have moderate physical activity. If you are a sports enthusiast or love to do outdoor activities a lot, you have to be a little bit more cautious about your skin. Let’s have a look at the additional tips you need to follow as a highly active sports lover.

1. Hydrate Yourself:
No matter what happen to you, always keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water. You can also drink natural juice, fruit pulps, and coconut water. Your skin tends to be dry in winter, additional activity sweets out some extra water; you need more water to keep your skin alive.

2. Sun Protection:
The sunlight is harder on skin in the dry winter epoch. Never expose yourself directly to the sun without sufficient protection. You can use our #1 PROTECTME  to defend your skin from the sun. It will reduce the disastrous effect of UV rays and protect from skin cancer and sunburn.

Well, in a cold region people usually know a thousand external ways to protect the skin from the cold and dry weather during the winter. But, if you have a better hygiene and healthier skin, your skin alone can keep it well moisturized and nourished. A stronger skin from the core will reduce your additional concern for it. Have the necessary nutrition I mentioned above. Dryness is the main culprit in this season, so please drink plenty of water and always keep yourself hydrated.
